I am an accomplished climate and marine scientist with a PhD in oceanography, bringing expertise in sea-level change and its coastal and marine impacts, combined with a strong academic foundation in the aviation sector. I have built a career at the interface of science, policy, and society, with a decade of international experience leading high-profile projects, managing multidisciplinary teams, and engaging with global climate science stakeholders and policy makers.

In my current role with the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP), I oversee several flagship international projects, providing strategic planning, scientific leadership, and coordination of international teams. I have convened and led high-level intergovernmental workshops on sensitive and politically complex issues, engaging Member States, stakeholders, and policy makers, and applying diplomatic skills to foster trust, build consensus, and ensure that scientific evidence helps informing policy decisions.

Passionate about science serving society, I guide complex global initiatives to foster two-way communication between the research community and vulnerable populations.

At the core of my leadership is a commitment to inclusivity in science, across regions, genders, and career stages, to ensure that diverse voices are represented and empowered in shaping solutions for our shared challenges.
